Hello, thank you for your interest in volunteering in our disability ministry, please take a few moments to read the requirements
Buddies in Sunday school
Being a buddy in Sunday school can be very rewarding, it involves meeting up with your assigned child when children are dismissed to Sunday school and you will remain with that child until they are picked up by a parent. During the class you will keep them focused on the lesson given by the teacher, if needed repeating points at their level, helping them with any projects and anything else that is being done in that class.
Previous experience is not necessary and we do our best to equip you before hand with tips and suggestions about the child you will be working with.
Requirements:
· Must have attended BCC for the past 6months.
· If you haven’t already you need to complete a disability ministry application. If you haven’t had one in the past year you also have to complete the BCC background check.
Ages for Volunteers:
· 14&15 – you can be the responsible buddy with the assistance of a parent.
· 16+ - you can be the responsible buddy alone.
